PayPal Australian Fashion Festival enters its next chapter, carrying forward a longstanding commitment to discovering, supporting and celebrating emerging fashion talent through the Talent Development Program.
The Program brings together initiatives that give Australian designers and creatives real industry exposure and the support to build a sustainable career, from graduation through to early-stage business.
Talent Development Program applications are now open for 2027.
NATIONAL DESIGNER AWARD X DAVID JONES
The premier award for emerging Australian fashion designers, dedicated to discovering and supporting exceptional talent with the potential to shape the future of Australian fashion. The Award winner will receive a significant prize package designed to support the next stage of their practice, including a $30,000 cash bursary, a $150,000 tailored program of mentorship and business development through David Jones, and a legal advisory package worth $5,000 courtesy of Festival partner K&L Gates.
NATIONAL GRADUATE SHOWCASE
SUPPORTED BY FASHION JOURNAL
A national platform celebrating Australia's best fashion graduates, presenting their work on a major runway and connecting them with the broader fashion industry. Every finalist shows on the Festival's Premium Runway, has their work reviewed by an industry judging panel, and receives a full content package plus VIP access to selected 2027 Festival events.
