Join artist Stieg Persson for a floor talk on his experience of painting Virginia Trioli for the Archibald. Australian journalist, Virginia Trioli, is known for her keen fashion sense and chose to be depicted in a dress by Australian fashion designer Martin Grant.
Stieg has known Virginia for more than 40 years and has watched her become a significant, much-loved advocate for the arts.
For his portrait of her, he paints her proudly occupying this role, referencing 19th-century portrait painting which they both love. Learn about the process of painting and what goes into making a stunning Archibald portrait.
